Our Mission
Most historical artifacts sit in storage or behind thick glass, accessible to a tiny fraction of the world. ViswaRoop changes that — giving every curator the tools to bring their objects into a shared virtual space where anyone, anywhere, can study them in detail.
Our lighting engine simulates how photons interact with each surface material. Bronze looks different under a directional spot than under diffuse ambient light — and that difference matters for researchers, conservators, and curious visitors alike.
The VR Experience
Put on a VR headset and walk through a photorealistic museum. Move around each pedestal at full scale, lean in to examine surface texture, and switch lighting presets in real time — just as you would with a physical spotlight.

Artists and curators upload a 3D scan, model file (.glb, .obj, .fbx), or a video recording of the physical object. Our pipeline reconstructs a mesh from video automatically.
Choose a preset matched to the material — warm diffuse for ceramics, directional spot for metal, backlit halo for glass. Adjust colour temperature and intensity.
Our team places your artifact in a photorealistic virtual museum — pedestal, label, room, lighting rig — positioned alongside the broader collection.

Lighting Science
Ceramic · Terracotta · Bone
A broad, soft amber source from above. Eliminates harsh shadow and shows the warmth of fired clay surfaces.
Bronze · Gold · Silver
A narrow, high-intensity key light at 45°. Creates specular highlights that reveal cast surface texture on metal.
Marble · Limestone · Ivory
A diffuse, bluish fill matching the colour temperature of overcast northern daylight — ideal for pale stone.
Glass · Crystal · Resin
A translucent rim source behind the artifact. Light passes through the material, revealing internal colour.
Stone · Wood · Leather
A low-angle grazing light at 10–15° from the surface. Makes incised marks and surface texture legible.
